Terms and Conditions
Last updated 25 September 2026
These terms cover your use of this website, and the bookings, cancellations and refunds for Counselling sessions with Recreate Counselling.
About these terms
The website at https://recreatemylife.com.au (the "Site") is an online information service provided by Tanya Ellsworth, founder of Recreate Counselling (ABN 53 727 026 892), subject to your compliance with the terms and conditions below.
Please read this page carefully before accessing or using the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by them, please do not access or use the Site.
Tanya Ellsworth may change these terms at any time, and changes take effect as soon as the updated terms are posted on the Site. Please review them from time to time. Your continued use of the Site means you accept the updated terms.
1. Copyright, licences and idea submissions
The entire contents of the Site are protected by international copyright and trademark laws. The copyrights and trademarks are owned by Tanya Ellsworth, her affiliates or other third-party licensors.
You may not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit or distribute, in any manner, the material on the Site, including text, graphics, code and software. You may print and download parts of the Site solely for your own non-commercial use, provided you do not change or delete any copyright or proprietary notices.
If you submit materials or information to any public area of the Site, or by email to the Site (including ideas for new or improved services), you grant Tanya Ellsworth a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence, with the right to sub-license, to reproduce, distribute, transmit, create derivative works of, publicly display and publicly perform those materials, by all means and in any media now known or developed later. You also grant the Site the right to use your name in connection with those materials, and in related advertising and promotional material. You agree that you have no recourse against the Site for any alleged or actual infringement or misappropriation of any proprietary right in what you send to the Site.
This clause does not apply to anything you share with Tanya as a Counselling client. That stays confidential and is handled under our Privacy Policy.
Trademarks
Publications, products, content or services referred to on the Site are the exclusive trademarks or service marks of Tanya Ellsworth and the Site. Other product and company names mentioned on the Site may be the trademarks of their respective owners.
2. Use of the Site
Except for information, products or services clearly identified as supplied by the Site, the Site does not operate, control or endorse any information, products or services on the internet. Anything else offered through the Site or on the internet generally is offered by third parties that are not affiliated with the Site.
The Site cannot and does not guarantee that files available for download through the Site will be free of viruses, worms, Trojan horses or other harmful code. You are responsible for putting in place enough procedures and checks to meet your own requirements for accurate data, and for keeping a way outside the Site to rebuild any lost data.
You take full responsibility and risk for your use of the Site and the internet. The Site and its information are provided "as is", and the Site makes no express or implied warranties, representations or endorsements of any kind (including, without limitation, warranties of title or non-infringement, or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) about the service, any information or service provided through it, or the internet generally. The Site is not liable for any cost or damage arising directly or indirectly from any such transaction. It is your responsibility to judge the accuracy, completeness and usefulness of all opinions, advice, services and other information provided through the Site or on the internet generally. The Site does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
The internet contains unedited material, some of which may be sexually explicit or offensive to you. Your access to such material is at your own risk. The Site has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, such material.
Limitation of liability
In no event will the Site or Tanya Ellsworth be liable for:
- any incidental, consequential or indirect damages (including, but not limited to, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of programs or information) arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service, any information or transactions provided on the service or downloaded from it, or any delay in that information or service, even if the Site or its authorised representatives have been told such damages are possible; or
- any claim arising from errors, omissions or other inaccuracies in the service or in materials or information downloaded through it.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so this limitation may not apply to you. In those places, the Site's liability is limited to the greatest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
The Site makes no representations about any other website you may reach through this one, or which links to it. A website not run by Tanya Ellsworth is independent of the Site, and the Site has no control over its content. A link to another website does not mean the Site endorses it or accepts responsibility for its content or use.
3. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Recreate Counselling, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers and any third-party information providers to the Service from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable legal fees, resulting from any breach of these terms (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or by any other person accessing the Service.
4. Third-party rights
Sections 2 (Use of the Site) and 3 (Indemnification) are for the benefit of Recreate Counselling and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers and any third-party information providers to the Service. Each of them has the right to enforce those provisions directly against you on their own behalf.
5. Term and termination
This agreement may be ended by either party, without notice, at any time and for any reason. Sections 1 (Copyright, licences and idea submissions), 2 (Use of the Site), 3 (Indemnification), 4 (Third-party rights) and 6 (Miscellaneous) continue to apply after it ends.
6. Miscellaneous
This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree that any legal action or proceeding between the Site and you concerning this agreement will be brought only in a court of competent jurisdiction in New South Wales, Australia.
Any claim or cause of action you may have about the Service must be started within one (1) year after it arises, or it is barred.
If the Site does not insist on or enforce strict performance of any part of this agreement, that is not a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the way the parties have dealt with each other nor trade practice changes any part of this agreement. The Site may assign its rights and duties under this agreement to any party at any time without notice to you.
Any rights not expressly granted here are reserved.
7. Your sessions: being prepared, rescheduling and refunds
All sessions are held online. It’s your responsibility to make sure you have the link for your online session, that you can access it, and that you’re prepared for it.
Before a program begins
If you change your mind before a program begins, I encourage you to contact me to discuss any concerns. You can request a full refund of anything paid, less booking fees, in writing, more than 7 days before it starts.
If I need to reschedule
I’ll give you as much notice as possible, and we’ll move the session to a time that suits us both, at no cost to you.
Individual packages (excluding single sessions)
If you cannot make a session for any reason, without prior agreement, there’s no guarantee it will be rescheduled. If you cancel within 72 hours, or a session is missed, one session may be offered for rescheduling at my discretion. After that, the session is treated as delivered and cannot be rescheduled.
Group packages: my guarantee
If you show up to each session and feel the pattern hasn’t shifted, I’ll work with you privately at no charge for 30 more days. Please refer to section 8, Scope of practice.
8. Scope of practice
Recreate Counselling provides qualified, trauma-informed Counselling, Coaching and group work that are Person-Centred and tailored to what each woman brings to her sessions.
You are supported to explore your experiences, recognise patterns and create meaningful change. The responsibility for making progress rests with you, because personal change asks for active participation and commitment beyond the session itself.
Services are provided as brief interventions, usually from 1 to 10 sessions. Further sessions or ongoing support can be arranged where more progress or longer-term work is wanted. Feedback and session reviews can happen at any time, so that we stay aligned and focused on the goals we have agreed.
Recreate Counselling is a legally recognised provider of Counselling, Time Line Therapy® techniques, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Coaching and Clinical Hypnosis. Tanya is a qualified group facilitator and certified Trainer in NLP and Hypnosis.
Medicare rebates
Recreate Counselling does not offer Medicare rebates. This allows for personalised, trauma-informed care that isn’t limited by standardised, time-limited frameworks: no diagnosis or referral is needed, and there are no long waitlists.
Taking your safety seriously
- Recreate Counselling does not provide medical or psychiatric advice, and does not replace treatment from a licensed healthcare provider.
- Recreate Counselling is not a crisis service. For clients affected by trauma or PTSD, services are provided with care and within appropriate boundaries.
- If at any time there is a risk of self-harm or harm to others, appropriate referrals will be given, and sessions may be paused or stopped until it is safe to resume.
- In some cases, a letter from a healthcare provider may be requested to confirm that it is safe and appropriate to continue.
Keeping the sessions safe
- By booking, you agree to self-management during sessions, groups and community groups: taking responsibility for your own behaviours and emotional states. This is a kindness boundary. It keeps the group and community safe, builds self-trust and the safety to be vulnerable, supports healing, and avoids retraumatising others.
- Self-management means that if you feel overwhelmed, you can use a coping tool (like deep breathing) or step back for a moment to steady yourself. You take responsibility for your physical and emotional safety in your own space, and you can feel deep sadness or anger while staying anchored in the present moment.
- It does not mean you have to suppress your emotions or pretend to be okay, that you will never cry, get upset or feel triggered during discussions, or that you have to heal alone without the group’s or community’s support.
- If self-management is a concern, we can talk about it in our first session. If extra clinical or crisis support becomes necessary that is outside the service you bought, sessions may be paused until suitable care is in place.
- Any behaviour interpreted by me, the group or the community as harmful, abusive or inappropriate may result in removal from the program or group without refund, to the extent permitted by law.
If you’re in immediate danger, call 000. For 24-hour support, call 1800RESPECT on 1800 737 732 or Lifeline on 13 11 14.
